How it Works
State's smart hybrid heat pump tank water heaters are engineered to be among the most efficient tank water heaters available. By combining your home's electricity with advanced heat pump technology, these units are ENERGY STAR® certified with a Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) rating of up to 3.88, effectively conserving energy and reducing costs.
Here's how they work:
A fan located at the top of the smart hybrid electric heat pump tank water heater draws air from the surrounding space through an evaporator.
The refrigerant in the evaporator absorbs heat from the air.
The refrigerant then passes through a compressor, where its temperature and pressure are increased.
Finally, the heated refrigerant is circulated through the condenser coil surrounding the tank, transferring the heat to the water inside. This innovative process allows State's smart hybrid heat pump water heaters to utilize the heat already present in your home to efficiently heat the water in the tank, reducing reliance on electricity alone.
