- This Week’s Silverado… The No. 27 Hillman Racing Chevrolet Silverado team and driver Jeb Burton will utilize MHR-016 in Saturday’s 167-lap NCWTS race at Kansas Speedway. This is the same truck that the 19-year-old Burton drove to an 11th-place finish last weekend in the inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Rockingham Speedway. Trip Bruce, who led Johnny Benson to a truck series championship in 2008, will once again be atop the pit box calling the shots for Burton as he makes his third NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start this weekend.
- Making the Grade… After a successful NASCAR truck series debut at the .526-mile Martinsville Speedway (13th), followed by an 11th-place finish at the one-mile Rockingham Speedway last weekend, Jeb Burton will make his first start on one of NASCAR’s mile-and-a-half speedways this weekend at Kansas. Burton has now been approved to compete on NASCAR’s superspeedways, having successfully demonstrated proficiency behind the wheel of the No. 27 State Water Heaters Chevrolet, which is important given the fact that 13 of the remaining 19 truck series races are on tracks 1.5 miles or longer.
- Meet Jeb Burton… Fans will have the opportunity to meet Jeb Burton Friday afternoon in the Kansas Speedway infield. Burton is scheduled to participate in the hour-long NASCAR Camping World Truck Series autograph session inside the Sprint FanWalk (200 wristbands will be distributed at the FanWalk stage at 3:30 p.m.). That session will feature several drivers from the NCWTS and will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. CDT.
- Watch and Listen… The SFP 250 from Kansas Speedway will be broadcast live on SPEED, MRN Radio and Sirius-XM NASCAR Radio, channel 90, on Saturday afternoon. SPEED kicks off its pre-race coverage at 1:30 p.m. EDT, and MRN Radio will begin its live broadcast at 1:45 p.m. EDT on Saturday, April 21. Friday afternoon will feature a live television broadcast of final practice at 3:00 p.m. EDT, and SPEED Channel will also broadcast qualifying live on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. EDT.

“Again, it’s my first time at each one of these tracks wherever I go. My experience up until this point has been in Late Models, so the approach is to learn first, fast laps second. We’ll be taking as many turns of the racetrack as possible on Friday’s practice runs, just to get the lay of the land. It’s such a tricky place for tires and pit strategy, not to mention all the other components like speed and corners. The weather might be a factor too, with all the wind they’ve had lately. So we’ll see. I just have to go into it looking for knowledge and to come out with a great finish. If we can get a top 10, we’d be over the moon.”
